Floyd Mayweather Jr. is living up to his nickname.
The retired boxer known as “Money” posted a photo of a handwritten check for $100 million to Instagram on Tuesday morning. “This is just one of my many checks, a cool $100,000,000.00 that I still have every dime of.”
The check, from Mayweather’s promotion company to the boxer himself, is dated May 2, 2015. That’s the date he defeated another boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather is said to have made more than $220 million from that bout, which generated a record 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and more than $600 million in revenue. Both men were guaranteed a $100-million purse going into the fight.
