A homeless man went on a violent rampage at Santa Monica State Beach, attacking three women and trying to drown one of them in the Pacific Ocean, according to witnesses and police. The attacks occurred Monday morning just north of the Santa Monica Pier and south of the California Incline.

“I was sitting on the beach and heard screaming from Lifeguard Tower 13. It was a man attacking a young woman,” said one of the victims, Jenna Wilker. “I pushed him off of her, and then he decided to run after her a second time after punching me in my face.”

Rarely, if ever, has one candidate in a presidential debate had so much material to use against the other.

Republican Donald Trump has been convicted of 34 felony counts with serious charges in three other indictments still pending. As president, Trump nominated three of the justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade and erode abortion access in America, creating a backlash even in conservative-led states. And his sweeping second-term plans include promises of retribution against political enemies in both major political parties.

Yet the big question for President Joe Biden, fairly or not, is whether he can press the case against Trump. Perhaps nothing matters more than the level of energy and strength the Democratic incumbent projects on stage.

A series of destructive burglaries targeting a Studio City community has residents fed up and taking matters into their own hands. Many of the burglaries in the Laurelwood neighborhood were caught on camera as the suspects escaped with thousands of dollars worth of valuable items.

Earlier in June, the same Studio City neighborhood was targeted by thieves disguised as construction workers who used Wi-Fi-jamming technology to disable a home’s security cameras. The community is now banding together to put an end to the constant crime.

Surveillance video captured the moment a group of teens attempted to burglarize a home in San Bernardino County. The suspects targeted the home on the 1100 block of Cedar Court in Upland around 11:30 p.m. Monday night.

The homeowner, Jamie Asanovich, had left to make an Uber Eats delivery while her elderly mother was still inside the house. But just minutes after driving away, her Ring doorbell camera alerted her that someone was at their front door.

Fake versions of Ozempic, the injectable diabetes drug many use for weight loss, are springing up around the world. "We have reports coming in from 14 countries," WHO team lead for incidents of substandard and falsified medical products Rutendo Kuwana said. 

The World Health Organization confirms counterfeit semaglutide, the active ingredient in the drug, was found in the U.S., the U.K. and Brazil late last year. The group is currently investigating reports in 11 other countries. Kuwana wants people to know these fakes could have anything in them.
