Sunday may be a good day to bring the Easter festivities indoors, as lingering showers were expected throughout Southern California.
Most of the region will remain on Flood Watch until 6 p.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. While rain totals won’t quite reach the heights of Saturday, the forecast called for scattered, highly variable rainfall.
“There will be some time of dry conditions today, we just can’t tell you exactly when,” KTLA’s Kacey Montoya said.
Heavy rain wasn’t completely absent, however, as parts of Ventura, Los Angeles and Orange Counties got a decent dousing in the early morning.
The possibility of thunderstorms will be present in Southern California for Easter Sunday, which could bring heavy amounts of rain in a short period of time.
Mountain communities remained in a winter storm warning amid a weekend full of heavy snowfall. That warning will last until 11 p.m.
