Heavy rain Tuesday has led to mandatory evacuations for residents living beneath the Springs Fire burn area in Camarillo.

Officials ordered the evacuation of about 75 homes at 10 a.m. due to what officials described as an imminent threat from potential mudslides.

Several inches of rain were expected to fall before the showers begin to taper off Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

By Tuesday evening, the evacuation order had been lifted.
