Officials provided an update Friday on the eight firefighters injured during a rollover crash on an Orange County freeway Thursday night.

“We’ve got a tough road ahead,” Orange County Fire Authority Chief Brian Fennessy said during a morning news conference. “Many of the injured are going to be hospitalized for a while."

Fennessy said that of the eight firefighters injured in the crash, six were taken to local trauma centers and all six are still hospitalized ranging from stable to critical condition.

Two days after an explosion sparked a fire that tore through a Monrovia home, officials say a body was found in a nearby structure.

The discovery was reported shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday at the site of an ongoing arson investigation on East Colorado Boulevard. The body of an unidentified male was found in a shed near the rear of the property that burned following an explosion Tuesday afternoon.

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani has done something no major leaguer has ever done before: hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a single season.

It came in a game in which he went six for six at the plate, hit three home runs, two doubles and a single — and stole two bases. It was also the first 10-RBI game in Dodgers history.

On Thursday, in the Dodgers' matchup with the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park in South Florida, Ohtani hit his 49th, 50th and 51st home runs and stole his 50th and 51st base. He's the first player in the long, illustrious history of America's past time to achieve the feat.
