Pacific Palisades residents were notified on Wednesday to boil their water for the next 48 hours due to quality issues stemming from the massive Palisades Fire that erupted Tuesday morning.

A new wildfire has ignited in the Eaton Canyon area near Altadena Tuesday night, forcing evacuations as a destructive windstorm continues battering Southern California. The Eaton Fire was first reported at around 6:30 p.m. and has grown to over 600 acres, according to officials at the Angeles National Forest.
Evacuations of surrounding areas are underway as crews from the Pasadena Fire Department, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the U.S. Forest Service are responding to the blaze.
