A suspect who robbed another man at a gas station was killed in a crash after the victim pursued him. Initial reports that were later confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department indicate that a 21-year-old man was at a gas station in L.A.'s West Adams neighborhood on Saturday evening when a group of armed men approached him and robbed him. The suspects then fled the scene in a white sedan, and the victim gave chase in a Mercedes-Benz SUV. (June 30, 2024)
A San Gabriel Valley family received a furry surprise in their backyard when they spotted a bear carefully stepping onto a pool float and enjoying a soak in the cool waters.
Loved ones are remembering a young Southern California father who died from fentanyl poisoning as the suspect who sold him the drugs was sentenced to prison. On November 11, 2022, Ian Pangburn, 26, purchased fentanyl from Javier Carlos Cruz, 22, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Pangurn ingested the fentanyl and died the next day. A toxicologist determined that fentanyl poisoning had caused his death. Pangburn’s mother, Jennifer Ochoa, said her son had previously struggled with drug use but was turning his life around when he died.

Two people were hospitalized after a large brawl broke out near the Santa Monica Pier Saturday afternoon. At around 2:21 p.m., Santa Monica police responded to reports of a fight just north of the Santa Monica Pier near Tower 14.
A police drone arrived at the scene first and witnessed an active fight taking place on the crowded beach. During the brawl, one person was stabbed and another possibly broke his ankle, police said.

Loved ones held an event called, “A Mile for Johnny,” on Saturday to honor the memory of and demand justice for “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor who was shot and killed by catalytic converter thieves in downtown Los Angeles on May 25.
The suspects fled the scene and no arrests have been made so far.
