Audit finds 1 in 4 shelter beds in L.A. went unused

City Controller Kenneth Mejia released the Pathways to Permanent Housing Homelessness Audit on Tuesday, which analyzed city-funded interim housing programs that were operational between 2019 and 2023. These included crisis and bridge shelters, A Bridge Home, hotel and motel-based programs and tiny home villages.
KTLA's Omar Lewis reports on Dec. 11, 2024.
