Rajon Rondo officially announced his retirement from the NBA on Monday night.

The four-time All-Star, who won one championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008 and another with the Lakers in 2020, was very blunt with his decision on the “All the Smoke” podcast hosted by former NBA players Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, who, like Rondo, played for the Los Angeles Clippers at one point during their careers.

“Absolutely…yeah, I’m done,” Rondo said when asked by Barnes if the NBA had seen the last of him. “I can’t…I’d rather spend time with my kids.”

“It’s been in Ohio as early as the mid-1850s at least, brought in as an ornamental plant because of its unique foliage and white flowers,” Gardner said. “It was actually planted in people’s landscaping, and it has been spreading.”

Rondo, 38, last played in the 2021-22 season, splitting his time between the Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers after being traded midway through the season.

In 16 seasons, Rondo averaged 9.8 points, 7.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. He was also a four-time NBA All-Defensive selection in addition to leading the league twice in assists and once in steals.
