A budget airline that began flying in 2021 is slashing prices on all roundtrip fares to celebrate its three-year anniversary.
Breeze Airways will be offering 33% off any roundtrip travel plans between May 29 and Oct. 1.
The anniversary promotion is available now through May 24 by using the promo code “THREE” at checkout on the company’s website and app.
The company began its business operations in 2019, but the first flights didn’t take off until 2021. Just last month, the airline celebrated its first full month of operating profit. The airline offered even deeper discounts to celebrate that milestone.
Since its launch, Breeze Airways has expanded to 56 cities in 29 states, offering more than 170 nonstop seasonal and year-round routes, officials said.
In Southern California, the Utah-based airline operates multiple flights from LAX, John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, San Bernardino International Airport and San Diego International Airport, as well as offering service out of San Francisco International Airport.
The airline has expanded into several small- and medium-sized markets and it says it’s currently the largest carrier in 11 different cities, including San Bernardino, where it is the only commercial airline. Earlier this year, the company celebrated flying 5 million passengers.
Founded by David Neeleman, who previously co-founded JetBlue, Breeze says its business model centers around providing flights to underserved destinations and offering “affordable fares with plenty of perks.” Those benefits include a la carte pricing, fewer fees and enhanced seating options without additional charges for changes or cancellations up to 15 minutes before departure.
“We set out on this journey three years ago with one goal in mind, to make air travel Seriously Nice for everyone,” Neeleman said in a news release. “Today we are proud of the incredible progress we have made in such a short period of time and we look forward to celebrating this milestone all week long.”
The 33% discount on flights applies only to new reservations and only for roundtrips. Supply is limited, company officials said, and the discount will apply only to flights on qualifying travel dates.
