Disneyland visitors will once again be able to greet the grim grinning ghosts as they come out to socialize this Halloween season, but a traditional standby queue won’t be offered.
Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Holiday will re-open with a virtual queue as crews continue to work on an expanded outdoor queue and new store, the theme park resort announced Thursday.
Construction began in January, with the new additions expected to “build on the story and lore of the Haunted Mansion.”
The expansion will be a welcome addition for guests since the walkways in New Orleans Square, where the Haunted Mansion ride is located, can become congested.
Haunted Mansion fans will be happy to know that the pet cemetery and horse-drawn funeral hearse will still be located on the attraction grounds, Disney Parks Blog announced last year. Guests with disabilities can also utilize a new elevator exit when they ride the attraction.
The Halloween season at the Disneyland Resort begins on Aug. 23.
