Nike unveils cool new technology for 2016, including self lacing sneakers!

You might not think of Nike as a technology company, but a new pair of self lacing sneakers could be the future of footwear.

Nike unveiled the self lacing kicks – nicknamed E.A.R.L. – at an innovation event in New York City. Nike brought me there to experience it all. There was even a late night workout with celebrity Kevin Hart.

Also unveiled – a new Nike+ app that is launching later this summer. It will connect you to everything Nike. Sneakerheads will appreciate the “golden ticket” feature that could give you early or guaranteed access to coveted new sneaker styles.

The new Nike app launches this summer and the new self lacing sneakers later this year.
