A woman suffering from schizophrenia, autism and bipolar disorder and her 3-month-old son, who went missing in La Mirada on Wednesday afternoon, were found safe Wednesday night, officials said.

Lesitte Felix, 25, and her son Josiah Felix disappeared about noon from an area near their home in the 15000 block of Watkins Drive, according to Deputy Erin Liu of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Information Bureau.

After reaching out to the public for help, sheriff’s officials announced shortly before 11 p.m. that both the woman and child had been found safe. No further details were available.
