A Washington State Patrol trooper cited a driver who was apparently trying to pass a giant cardboard cutout of Donald Trump’s head as a passenger in order to use the carpool lane on a highway Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Trooper Greg Ulrich stopped the car as it passed by on State Route 167 in Auburn, according to Trooper Rick Johnson, the state Patrol’s public information officer for King County.

After pulling over the car, Ulrich discovered a large cardboard cutout of the Republican presidential candidate’s head attached to the headrest, Johnson tweeted, posting a photo of it on Twitter.

He added that the driver was ticketed.

“According to the trooper he was a very nice driver and they were laughing about it,” Johnson wrote. “But he still got a $136 ticket.”

He said that’s the minimum fee for anyone who illegally uses the HOV lanes in Washington state.
