Authorities are searching for two armed burglars who were seen on surveillance video going through a home in Florida as children were sleeping nearby.

The incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. Saturday and was captured on the home’s security system, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office stated on Facebook.

The video shows one of the burglars looking through items in the home as two people slept on separate couches nearby.

The intruder was described as a black man in his early 20s, standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall.

The burglar was seen “walking throughout the house, to include in the immediate area where children were sleeping,” the Sheriff’s Office post read.

A second burglar was seen waiting in a doorway with a handgun, the Sheriff’s Office stated.

He was described as a white male wearing a light colored beanie cap and a dark colored jacket.

Multiple credit cards and a cell phone were stolen from inside the house, along with a gun that was taken from the victim’s vehicle, authorities stated.

The Sheriff’s Office asked the public for help in identifying the burglars.
