Surveillance video released by police in Honolulu on Tuesday captured a frightening takeover robbery at a grocery store during which the 76-year-old shop owner was held in a choke hold.

The disturbing video shows one of the robbers attacking the woman from behind and dragging her to the back of the store with his arm around her neck.

While she was being subdued, a second man went behind the counter and removed money from the register, according to a news release from the Honolulu Police Department. A third man acted as a lookout in the robbery, which occurred Monday, police said.

The video showed the men fleeing the store.

A customer later found the woman bleeding on the floor and called police, the release stated.

She was taken to a hospital with serious head injuries.

The three robbers were still being sought.
