Richard Overton of Texas served in the Pacific during World War II nearly 70 years ago.

On Monday, he had breakfast with the president and Vice President Joe Biden in Washington.

Overton still drives, cuts his own grass at age 107 and has a 90-year-old girlfriend. He claims to drink whiskey with his morning coffee and says he smokes cigars everyday.

His secret to living is “staying out of trouble,” he says.
