Following 12 years of marriage that ended in divorce, one man has continued to come up with hundreds of offbeat ideas for how to use the wedding dress his wife left behind, according to his blog.
When Kevin Cotter and his ex divorced in 2009, the dress was the only item she left in her closet after moving out.
Cotter’s brother, sister-in-law and parents then offered a few suggestions for things to do with the garment, and after expanding the list he share pictures of the ideas on his blog.
“This dress is unbelievable and probably is capable of carrying out many more applications. My marriage didn’t last forever but this dress just might,” he wrote in the blog’s “Dress History” section.
Some of the more than 100 things Cotter has suggested for the dress’s future included a footrest, MC Hammer pants and a punching bag.
Cotter also authored the 2011 book, “101 Uses for My Ex-Wife’s Wedding Dress.”
Although Cotter has said he’s not ready to part with the dress, he suggested others may want to donate their ex’s dresses to one of the half-dozen organizations listed on his blog.
