The suspected imposter picked up the victim early Wednesday in Manhattan, drove her to her requested destination, and then allegedly tried to assault her after parking the vehicle, CNN reported.

Surveillance video of the attack was released by the New York Police Department.

During the struggle, the woman’s 5-year-old was struck and the 3-year-old was forcibly removed from the car before it sped off, according to the cable news channel.

The two children were taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police have arrested 48-year-old Pedro Vargas in connection with the incident, according to KTLA sister-station PIX 11.
