As Paris mourns after the terrorist attacks, the Eiffel Tower was lit up Monday evening in France’s tricolor.
Plans are to light up the monument in France’s blue, white and red again on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo.
The monument was closed to tourists and its lights turned off following the attacks.
Vigils have been held across the city in the days following the tragedy, where Parisians have been reflecting on the tragedy and honoring the victims.
Monuments around the world lit up in France’s tricolor in a sign of solidarity. The Sydney Opera House, the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and One World Trade Center’s antenna all lit up in blue, white and red over the weekend.
