Three high school freshmen in Nebraska face misdemeanor charges after allegedly feeding their cooking teacher frosting laced with semen this week, according to the Omaha World.

The students, ages 14 and 15, were making frosted turnovers during their home economics class at Westside High School in Omaha when they excused themselves to go to the bathroom, the newspaper reported Friday.

While in the restroom, the boys allegedly masturbated into containers, then later mixed the bodily fluid into the frosting, according to the Omaha World, citing a law enforcement source with knowledge of the case. The semen-laced frosting was then put on the turnover.

The female teacher tasted one of the turnovers during a quality-control check, at which time she noticed a strange taste. Another student eventually went up to the instructor and told her he overhead the three boys discussing the alleged plot.

High school administrators interviewed the boys, and two of them allegedly confessed; the third told them he did not go through with it, the Omaha World reported.

Police were called to the campus, and their containers of frosting were taken away.

The boys each face a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace in connection to the incident, according to the newspaper. Their cases will be handled in juvenile court.

A spokeswoman for the high school told the Omaha World that the students “will face consequences,” though she declined to release details about any disciplinary measures.

The incident prompted someone to start a change.org petition demanding the teens be “properly punished” and expelled from the school.

As of Friday afternoon, it has received more than 6,800 signatures. The petition’s stated goal is 7,500 signatures.
