TORRANCE, Calif. (KTLA) — A youth ice skating coach who taught throughout Southern California has been arrested for allegedly molesting an underage boy.
29-year-old Donald Vincent is accused of sexually molesting one of his young students.
Investigators believe more victims may be out there and want parents to be aware.
“He coached for seven years, we believe he may have had the same interaction with other kids.”
The alleged victim is now 17 but says he was abused by Vincent starting when he was 12, and that the abuse continued for three years.
The alleged victim told a friend about the sex crime at a youth camp.
That conversation led the teen to come forward to investigators last month.
Vincent now faces several charges.
Vincent was arrested last Friday at his home.
Earlier Tuesday he was arraigned in court.
He remains behind bars this afternoon.
Investigators are asking parents of Vincent’s former students to ask questions now.
If parents know this was a coach of their kid, ask if anything happened, and then contact the Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau at (877) 710-5273.
