In many luxury apartment buildings, the higher up you go, the higher the price tag will be.
That’s exactly the case with one condo at 8899 Beverly Boulevard, which recently sold for an eye-watering $24 million, making it the most expensive condo in Los Angeles-area history.
The penthouse unit boasts 14-foot ceilings and a 2,000-square-foot wraparound terrace with sweeping city views, the 8899 Beverly website said.
In addition, the penthouse itself has a separate back entrance for staff and a private elevator from two private garages, which can accommodate up to four cars.
According to California Listings, the unit measures 6,451 square feet and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms; the full-service building includes 24-hour concierge and valet services, a fitness center and a “resort-like” area with a pool, spa, fireplaces and a outdoor kitchen.
The buyer’s $24 million purchase will be accompanied by a reported $11,295 per month in HOA dues, California Listings said.
