A striking hotel worker in West Los Angeles captured the moment an angry guest verbally and physically assaulted them.

Hotel workers across Southern California have been on strike since last July, and workers are still taking to the picket lines nine months later.

One such demonstration occurred early Saturday morning at the June Hotel West L.A., where employees were chanting and banging on drums when an angry guest approached them and began accosting them.

“What’s your home address? Give me your home address…I’ll come f—king bang this drum at your home address,” the man said. “I’m trying to stay here, okay? It’s 6 a.m. and you’re f—king doing this s—t…I don’t care what’s going on here.”

The man then looks directly into the camera and asks, “Are we good here?” before slapping the phone out of the demonstrator’s hand, knocking it to the ground.

“A hotel worker on strike recorded the video and shared it [Saturday] morning,” said a spokesperson for Unite Here Local 11, the union representing the striking workers. “Hotel workers at the June Hotel West L.A. have been part of the SoCal hotel strikes that launched last July…they are on strike fighting for a contract.”

A police report was filed, the spokesperson said. It is not known if the demonstrator who recorded the incident was injured.
