The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has made an arrest in connection with a 2021 murder in Victorville.
Bryan Brewer, 32, was found dead inside a home in the 15600 block of Jay Post Road on April 13, 2021, authorities said in a news release. He had sustained a knife wound.
Now, nearly three years later, an “extensive ongoing investigation” identified 30-year-old transient Brandon Mitchell Hunsaker as the alleged assailant.
Authorities did not elaborate as to how Hunsaker was identified.
Hunsaker is being held without bail at the North County Correctional Facility in Castaic on an unrelated charge, according to the SBSD and jail records.
Hunsaker, who has been in custody since Oct. 23, 2023, will be transferred to the SBSD in the next few weeks to face this murder charge.
