A man was shot in the westbound lanes of the 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley on Wednesday night, his family says.

The family of the man said a driver pulled up next to the man and opened fire into his vehicle near the Pyrite Street exit around 9:40 p.m. The man was transported to a hospital, though his condition was unknown as of Thursday morning.

No description of the suspect or their vehicle has been released. The California Highway Patrol hasn’t released any additional details, though authorities were searching for a suspect on Wednesday night.
