A suspicious suitcase found near the official residence of L.A.’s Mayor Eric Garcetti on Monday evening contained only clothing, police said.

The suitcase was spotted just before 5 p.m. on the corner of Sixth Street and Irving Boulevard in a Windsor Square neighborhood located near Getty House, according to Officer Jack Richter with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Office.

A number of neighborhood homes including the mayor’s residence were evacuated as a precaution, according to LAPD Detective Aguilar.

Several streets in the area were also shut down due to the investigation, according to a tweet from the LAPD.
