Police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot and killed near a hotel in Glendale late Sunday night.
Law enforcement officials told KTLA 5’s Erin Myers that they received calls regarding possible shots fired in the 200 block of Dryden Street around 10:40 p.m.
Located on the corner of North Brand Boulevard and Dryden is The Glenmark, a luxury hotel.
Arriving officers and paramedics found a man suffering from gunshot wounds on the ground and immediately began performing lifesaving measures; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was later identified as a man in his 30s by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner; his name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A suspect description or motive was not immediately known, but investigators believe a white SUV may have been involved in the shooting in some capacity.
“At this point, we have very limited information,” said Vahe Abramyan with the Glendale Police Department. “All we know is that potentially a white SUV may have been involved, [but] it is unknown what their involvement is.”
The investigation remains in its preliminary stages. Anyone with information surrounding the shooting is encouraged to contact the Glendale Police Department.
