Authorities released surveillance video Tuesday in their search for a pair of alleged armed robbers sought in Santa Ana.

The video showed two men entering Pronto Pizza in the 1700 block of West First Street (map) just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

The men approached the counter, where one of them brandished a gun from his waistband, according to a news release from the Santa Ana Police Department.

The men demanded money, which an employee took from a cash register and handed to them.

Both men fled on foot, southbound through the parking lot and southbound onto Raitt Street, according to the Police Department.

Authorities believe the men are also responsible for the Nov. 11 robbery of a Video Sky in the 2500 block of West 17th Street (map) and the Dec. 9 robbery of a Radio Shack in the 1600 block of West 17th Street (map).

The man who brandished the gun was described as Hispanic, 20 to 24 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

He had black hair, brown eyes, a mustache and was wearing a red baseball cap, black sweatshirt, black pants, and black Nike shoes.

The other man, also described as a Hispanic between 20 to 24 years old, was between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall, and weighed about 160 pounds.

He had black hair, brown eyes and was wearing an open gray hooded zip-up sweater with white writing and the hood up, a black and white plaid shirt, black pants, a purple bandana over his face and gray shoes.
