The man whom Marion “Suge” Knight allegedly ran down with his truck outside a Compton burger stand refused to identify the former rap mogul as his attacker during a court hearing Monday, saying he wasn’t a “snitch.”
Cle “Bone” Sloan walked stiffly and deliberately to the stand Monday for Knight’s preliminary hearing, where the former head of Death Row Records is charged with murder and attempted murder for allegedly running over Terry Carter, 55, who was killed and Sloan, 51. Knight has pleaded not guilty.
On the stand, Sloan was overcome with emotion and started crying. He said he couldn’t remember much about the deadly crash Jan. 29 in the driveway of a Compton burger joint.
“I don’t want it to get misconstrued that I told on this man,” he said, pointing at Knight. “I’m no snitch. I will not be used to send Suge Knight to prison.”
