A magnitude-4.2 earthquake was among a series of smaller temblors that struck the Ojai area between late Friday night and early Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 4.2 quake hit about 12:42 a.m. and was centered 10 miles east northeast of Ojai and 11 miles north of Santa Paula, USGS’s incident pages stated.

Weak to light shaking was felt in Ventura County and in neighboring Santa Barbara County, the Geological Survey reported.

A magnitude-3.3 tremor struck just before 11:30 p.m. the previous evening in the same area. Several smaller earthquakes were also centered in the area after the 4.2 jolt, according to USGS.

There were no immediate reports of damages or injuries.

The region has had at least one quake with magnitude 3.0 or larger in the past 10 days, according to the Los Angeles Times.
