The outage, which was caused by equipment problems, began at 1:24 a.m. and was expected to last until about 8 a.m., according to the Southern California Edison website.

Utility crews were working to restore power to affected customers and traffic signals in the area, according to the Glendora Police Department. Authorities advised motorists to approach intersections with caution.

The incident was later removed from SCE’s online “outage map,” suggesting that electricity had been restored in area. Calls to the utility were not immediately returned.
