Two people were detained Saturday morning after Los Angeles police responded to a report of a burglary at a marijuana dispensary in the Mid-City area, officials said.

Officers went to the 5600 block of West Pico Boulevard about 4:30 a.m. after a burglar alarm was activated at the business, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.

A perimeter was set up and a search for the possible burglars was launched, assisted by a police helicopter.

One person was taken into custody within about 30 minutes; the second person was detained shortly before 7 a.m, the LAPD said.

No other information was immediately available.
