Officers took a driver into custody after a pursuit through the San Bernardino County area Monday afternoon.

The vehicle was seen traveling at a high rate of speed through an Upland residential neighborhood before pulling up on a dirt road in the San Antonio Heights area, aerial video from Sky5 showed.

The driver was seen getting out of the car around 1:30 p.m. and walking towards some trees.

Officers then approached the vehicle with a K-9 and appeared to search it to make sure there was no else inside.

The K-9 then followed the suspect to an area with thick vegetation, where the dog took the man down.

Officers were then seen putting handcuffs on the man and taking him into custody. He was treated for injuries at the scene, video showed.

It’s unclear what prompted officers to begin chasing the driver or where the pursuit initially began. No further details were immediately available.
