A Los Angeles Police Department officer was injured in a collision on the 405 Freeway Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred just before 3:10 p.m. on the southbound 405, before Santa Monica Boulevard, the LAPD told KTLA.

Sky5 was above the scene as an ambulance transported the officer. The officer was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Hospital in unknown condition.

A Sigalert was issued on the Freeway due to the crash, but the roadway has since reopened.
