A reward of $10,000 was announced Wednesday in the death of Tynisa Hicks, who was gunned down outside her South Los Angeles area home in front of her children and husband.

The 37-year-old was returning from a night out with her husband on June 6 when a car carrying two armed men pulled up in front of her home in the 1400 block of West 104th Street.

The men opened fire on the couple, riddling the house with as many as 15 rounds, according to Sgt. Kenneth Perry of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Hicks was struck in the head as she tried to lock the door, Perry said.

The mother of three died in the doorway before help arrived.
