Martin Luther King Jr. Day was being observed Monday in Los Angeles with the 30th annual Kingdom Day Parade.
More than 70,000 people were expected to attend the South L.A. parade, which was among the many events being held across the United States to commemorate the legacy of the leader of the civil rights movement.
