A driver’s January joyride in Malibu had a crappy ending.

In a post to X, formerly Twitter, which spouted numerous fecal-related jokes, the California Highway Patrol said Tuesday that officers were involved in a pursuit with a speeding BMW in Malibu.

The car traveled at speeds as high as 115 mph, CHP West Valley said. It was followed by a CHP helicopter as it traveled down Kanan Dume Road before officers found the car in Malibu.

The driver fled the officers, the CHP said, before hitting a truck and flipping over a porta-potty, ending the pursuit.

The pursuit happened on January 18, and Sky5 was overhead at the crash site.

On Tuesday, the CHP provided little new information, other than the news that the man behind the wheel was an 18-year-old Malibu resident.
