A man found bleeding from a stab wound outside a stretch of clubs and bars in Fullerton was hospitalized early Friday morning.
Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 100 block of West Amerige Avenue near Harbor Boulevard about 1:11 a.m., said Sgt. John Ema with the Fullerton Police Department.
The wounded man was outside one of the businesses when someone walked up to him and said, “You’re bleeding. It looks like you’ve been stabbed,” the watch commander for the Police Department said.
Arriving officers found the man and discovered he had a stab wound on his leg and was bleeding, Ema said.
The wounded man, who appeared to be intoxicated, was unaware he had been cut, according to the watch commander.
It was unclear if the man had been in an altercation and was stabbed or if he somehow injured himself, the watch commander said.
The man was taken to UCI Medical Center in unknown condition, Ema said.
