Further investigation revealed that the 28-year-old suspect had an outstanding warrant for armed robbery and a connected murder that occurred in Alameda County in 2022, police said.

The suspect was then taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Ventura County Jail. His name is being withheld pending the ongoing homicide investigation.

CHP confirmed that he is set to be extradited to Alameda County to face felony charges.
