A man wanted in connection with a 2015 homicide was arrested Tuesday after leading authorities on a short high-speed chase in Granada Hills.
Authorities had been searching for William Saulsberry, 25, for his role in an Inglewood homicide that happened in 2015, the U.S. Marshals Service announced. On Tuesday Saulsberry and three other men were seen by members of the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force leaving a residence in Porter Ranch.
California Highway Patrol officers stepped in to conduct a traffic stop on the car the four men were in, but Saulsberry failed to stop and led officers and the U.S. Marshals on a short pursuit, officials said.
The chase came to an end when Saulsberry lost control of the car and crashed into a mailbox in the 17000 block of San Fernando Mission Avenue. Authorities set up a containment area and found Saulsberry and two other men hiding in the attic of a nearby abandoned house, the fourth man was located hiding on a porch.
Saulsberry was taken into custody on an outstanding homicide warrant and was expected to be charged with felony flight from law enforcement, the U.S. Marshals Service said.
The other three men were held for questioning.
