Police on Tuesday were searching for the person responsible for fatally stabbing a 19-year-old man in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Officers discovered the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds in the 800 block of West 101st Street (map) shortly after 9 p.m., according to Sgt. Angela McGee of the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

No arrests have been made as of early Tuesday, and McGee said police were looking for one person in connection with the deadly attack.

Police have not released a description of the person being sought.

A motive for the stabbing was not known.
