The frantic search for a boy who disappeared in Palmdale has ended after he was located, authorities said.

At the time, Joshua Evans, 11 was last seen on the 2600 block of East Palmdale Boulevard at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

No information regarding where Joshua was found was released.

LASD had listed Joshua as a “critically missing person,” which is defined as:

  • A person who has no pattern of running away or disappearing
  • A person in critical need of medical attention
  • The victim of a crime or foul play
  • The victim of a kidnapping or parental abduction
  • A person who is mentally impaired to the extent that such person is unable to care for him or herself or is an immediate danger to his or her own safety or the safety of others

“Thank you to the public, the media, Aero Bureau and deputy personnel for their tireless efforts in the search for Joshua,” the sheriff’s department said.
