At times, the suspect sped through red lights, cut off nearby drivers, and traveled on the wrong side of the road, narrowly missing other cars.

The suspect began zigzagging around a busy shopping plaza as multiple patrol units followed closely. The vehicle eventually came to a stop at a busy intersection before the suspects ditched the car and fled on foot.

The suspect’s handgun was allegedly tossed in an alleyway during a foot chase where the driver was taken into custody in a nearby neighborhood.

The second suspect, reportedly wearing clothing with a camouflage pattern, was on the run for some time as officers on the ground searched the area. That person was eventually taken into custody Friday night.

It’s unclear where the vehicle was stolen from and what shooting incident the suspects may have been involved in.
