A man was taken into custody Sunday after an hourslong barricade situation in Koreatown  ended without incident, police said.

The standoff began about 3:15 p.m. when officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a home in the 800 block of South Hobart Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man was threatening his parents, who live with him at the location, an LAPD spokesman said. A SWAT team was called to the scene.

The suspect surrendered peacefully about 8 p.m., police said. No hostages were held during the episode.
