An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead with traumatic injuries in Monrovia Monday night.
Monrovia police responded to the 1000 block of Wildrose Avenue regarding a medical emergency about 9:09 p.m., according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department news release.
Arriving officers found a woman suffering from what were described as traumatic injuries. No further details about the injuries were given.
Authorities initially indicated the woman had been stabbed but later updated the information.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no word on whether a suspect, or suspects, were being sought in connection with the woman’s death.
