Snow White Cafe, a Disney-themed restaurant and bar in the heart of Hollywood that has been in business for more than 75 years appears to be gone for good.

Located at 6769 Hollywood Boulevard next door to the Hollywood Wax Museum, the vintage cafe first opened in 1946. It served up classic American fare with a large selection of beers on tap in a unique fairy-tale setting.

The cafe featured a mural of Snow White above the door with the message, “We hope we have pleased you,” Discover Los Angeles reported. There were also paintings of the film’s dwarfs on the wall that, like the Snow White mural, were created by actual Disney animators.

“The cafe was originally opened by a friend of Walt Disney’s, who asked Disney animators to paint murals on the walls,” the restaurant’s website says. “The murals depict scenes from the film ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ and they are still on display today.”

Not anymore.

With a caption on Facebook reading only, “Goodbye Snow White Cafe,” Vintage Los Angeles posted at least one picture that appears to show the interior of the restaurant completely gutted and, from what can be seen in the photo, the iconic “Snow White” murals gone.

Calls to the iconic Hollywood restaurant went to a number that appears to be disconnected.

A call to the Hollywood Wax Museum next door on Sunday did not yield much information, but an employee there confirmed that the restaurant, which lists its hours as 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. daily, would normally be open.

KTLA has also emailed Snow White Cafe and is awaiting a response.

If reports of the restaurant’s closure are true, it will be the second iconic Hollywood eatery to close its doors this month. The Arby’s Roast Beef franchise at 5920 Sunset Boulevard closed after 55 years in business.
