Authorities are trying to find a driver who left the scene after crashing into an apartment building in West Hollywood early Wednesday morning.
The crash was reported shortly after 3 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Laurel Avenue, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson said.
Video from the scene showed the car had come to a stop partially inside the apartment building after crashing through a wall.
One person inside the building suffered superficial injuries as a result of the crash, sheriff’s department Sgt. Mora said.
Investigators believe the driver was traveling at high speed at the time of the crash but it was unclear if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
The driver was no longer at the scene when authorities arrived, Mora said.
A tow truck removed the vehicle from the building before 6 a.m.
