Dozens of Vehicles Vandalized in Silver Lake Neighborhood; Residents on Edge

Residents in a Silver Lake neighborhood were on edge Friday as authorities searched for whoever has vandalized dozens of vehicles in the past few months.

Most of the cars have been vandalized near Effie Street and Golden Gate Avenue (map), according to authorities.

Police believe the vandal is using knives or possibly even an icepick to slash tires on the parked cars.

Some residents have set up cameras outside their homes in hopes of recording the person, or people responsible.
