Firefighters located the body of a dog at an Orange County home that caught fire during the early morning hours Monday.
The blaze was reported shortly after 1 a.m. in the 5100 block of Brazo in Laguna Woods.
“The first-arriving crew found a single-story house with smoke showing,” the Orange County Fire Authority posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Video showed flames burning around one firefighter who used a saw to cut through and ventilate the roof.
All residents were safely evacuated from the home but crews located a dog inside that did not survive, the post read.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
